Professional tennis players playing the satellite and challenger tours would be on “WimX Packages” like any other performance player. Dependant on the player’s potential, ability and commitment, subsidies and grants would be made available.

Prices of such professional packages would therefore vary but as a general guideline we believe that a near perfect individual program needn’t cost more than £12,000 per year and many players train effectively on less than £6,000 per year.

The LTA now operate an objective matrix system of funding which can provide up to £6,000 of training costs for some players.
