In 2008 Helen Crook and Victoria Davies began to look for solutions to ensure education remained paramount and easily accessible to the aspiring tennis players in their tennis academy. However, it soon become apparent that access to bespoke, flexible, vocational and affordable education was in short supply in general and so they set up a training company.
Helen and Victoria began making partnerships with further education establishments and today WimX Learning is an accredited Training Provider offering an array of qualifications nationwide.
Helen’s and Victoria’s passion about combining education with other aspirations (such as professional sport) stems from their own positive experiences of gaining degrees and playing high level competitive competition. After competing on the professional tennis tour for many years (including The Championships, Wimbledon) and holding the no.1 GB doubles ranking, they ended their playing days and became involved in the tennis coaching business. Since then they have sought to make provision for combining professional tennis and sport with education.
Providing inclusive opportunities for many individuals and community groups to achieve more and gain access to courses that can lead to employment has become more of a focus. Their successful collaborations with establishments such as New College Swindon, University of East London, Barnet & Southgate College, the LTA and others has allowed them to provide flexible learning for aspiring elite performers as well as affordable learning for the unemployed and anyone looking to find pathways to work.
WimX Learning has much more to offer and wants to do more. Please get in touch if you are interested in working with us to change lives with effective and high quality learning experiences which will achieve common goals
