About this qualification
Around 15% of people have a learning difficulty, which means they can find it harder to learn certain skills. The purpose of this qualification is to give learners knowledge of different Specific Learning Difficulties, You will learn about a range of specific learning difficulties, including ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia, how they are diagnosed and how individuals can be supported.
Who is it suitable for?
As well as healthcare and social care contexts, the qualification is particularly suited for those working within training, coaching and education where they may have clients that they want to support better by building their knowledge of dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific prior skills/knowledge a learner must have for this qualification. However, learners should be aged 16 or above to undertake this qualification.
How is this qualification structured?
The qualification is delivered through an online portal and learners complete the work in their own time at home. The course takes approximately 7-10 hours to complete and learners will have access to tutor guidance and support throughout the course.
