One of the great things about tennis is that it’s a sport that can be played at nearly any age and at any skill level. Because it’s a low-impact sport and it’s not dependent on the strength of the player, young and old alike pick it up easily. This is why WimX Tennis cater for all ages and abilities. Some people want to drop in and play as and when the mood takes them, others are serious about improving and playing in club teams and others get on the performance pathway.
So whatever your interest and motivations are to play tennis, WimX can help you! Visit our locations page to find out your nearest venue and what’s on offer there. To see more information on what is offered as part of a WimX Tennis program see below.
WimX offer holiday camps in most school holidays and these provide valuable extra tennis development in a fun environment. These are all run by the WimX Coaches and are suitable for both beginners and experienced players. With indoor court back up the British weather will not able to ruin the day either. These camps are great for anyone wishing to try tennis and they also represent excellent value childcare! Pastoral care is also available before and after the camp times.

WimX Youth sessions all begins with children who have played no, or very little, tennis previously. Within these sessions children are taught the fundamentals of tennis and athletic development and exposed to the fun side of the sport through games and competitions.
Children who demonstrate a passion for tennis, or who show athletic ability or an aptitude for learning, are encouraged to add more sessions to their week and work towards becoming transition players. These players are building their tennis skills and experience to begin competing in tournaments, and progress further to become performance players who are aspiring to explore the many avenues for future involvement in tennis.
LTA Youth sessions are structured in to BLUE (age 4-6), RED (age 6-8), ORANGE (age 8-9), GREEN (age 9-10) and YELLOW (age 10+)
Individual coaching is available at all venues and ranges in price from £25-£45 per hour dependant on the coach and venue costs. All court fees are included in the lesson price and half hour lessons are available. Many people start off with a course of individuals before filtering into a regular club session or coaching group.
It can be very intimidating if you are new to tennis to enter a tournament. We therefore like to make it easy by running tournaments specifically aimed at those new to game whether they are mini red or and adult.
