Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time or sharpening your skills, we’re here to provide a friendly and inclusive environment for players of all levels and ages.
Tennis is a fantastic sport that can be enjoyed by nearly anyone, regardless of age or skill level. Its low-impact nature and emphasis on technique over strength make it accessible to everyone. That’s why WimX Tennis is designed to cater to all – from those who drop in for casual play, to competitive team players, and those pursuing performance pathways.

Private Lessons
Individual coaching is available at all venues and ranges in price from
£25-£45 p/h dependant on the coach and venue costs. All court fees are included in the lesson price and half hour lessons are available. A great option before filtering into a regular club session or coaching group.
Social and Starter Tournaments
Entering a tennis tournament for the first time can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re new to the game. We therefore like to make it easy by running tournaments specifically aimed at those new to game, whether they are mini red or an adult.

WimX, short for Wimbledon experience, derives its name from the fact that its founders all competed at The Championships, Wimbledon. All founders have a wealth of knowledge of the British and international game through combined experiences of travelling and competing on the professional tour. They were all former British No.1s and No.2s, have all held world rankings and between them have won many professional titles. They have also competed in all of the Grand Slams as well as representing Britain in the Olympics and Federation Cup. Using this vast experience they have created a thriving, fun and professional tennis training environment for all standards and ages to enjoy and develop their games.

The founders have worked with players in the top 100 in the world and many players competing at Grand Slams and on the ITF professional circuits. On the junior side, the team have turned many club players into international, national and county players as well as taking players from U11 through to U14 top 50 in the world. The whole journey is nurtured and as a result the WimX team are aware of and always planning for all ages (from 3 yrs to adults) and all standards and as a result the whole tennis player journey is catered for. It’s great to excel when you are mini tennis age, but at WimX the plan is always to become the best yellow ball player you can be.
Four WimX founding partners; Lorna Woodroffe, Jo Ward, Helen Crook and Victoria Davies continue to play active roles through on-court coaching and off court programme management. and the senior partners, Aleks Mitrovska, David Gaves and Thais Castiglioni play key roles in developing players and managing the programme.
The enthusiasm, support and commitment of the team to its players and facility has proven to create a thriving environment where players enjoy the challenges of improvement and have pride in themselves and respect and encouragement for one another. This can only and does only result in players playing longer and achieving more.
OUR COACHING ETHOS
WimX Tennis programs are devised to include all levels of commitments from players and parents. From the full on ‘Package’ program, which encompasses all the needs of a committed player to the one hour a week player.
It is WimX’s aim to empower all players with the right advice, training system and support to allow them the opportunity to reach their potential and get the most out of their tennis journeys.
WimX believe in coaching players as individuals and developing the natural game within each player. The common thread found in all of our teachings is emphasis on good movement and attitude. We are dedicated to fulfilling potential, whatever it may be, and in order to maximise potential and development, we know we must watch our players compete. We also plan tournament schedules to ensure that players have the best chance of improving their game, ranking and rating.
