Welsh National Padel Partner
WimX is proud to be appointed as the Welsh National Padel Partner and is supporting Tennis Wales in the growth and development of national players, coaches, and venues across the country.
Working alongside the National Development Manager we will support three main areas:
1. Coach development, with the provision of coach education opportunities and workshops and facilitate
2. Player development through training camps, tournament support and individual player development plans..
3. Venues with mutually beneficial workforce schemes
WimX will assist the process for the selection of Four Nation Teams and be an active member of the partnership management group.

Support For Players
Our role is to develop and support players across certain age groups, strengthening the national teams through regular training activities, tournament support and player management. To be considered for part of the national programme players are encouraged to gain a LTA rankings by competing in LTA sanctioned events.
There is currently only one national team competition at the moment which is the Four Nations Event (typically held in March). WimX will be part of the selection panel for this event
The squads will be for the following age categories but age groups may well be combined for training purposes and even for selection players may be selected to play in a younger age group.
This will all depend on what is best for the team as a whole.
Each age category will consist of:
Squads will be reviewed twice annually to ensure performance standards and progression
opportunities.
Training Programme
All National Squad members should receive four national training opportunities per year plus there will be additional national training sprinkled throughout the year. These opportunities will be:
• Tailored to individual player needs
• Delivered in small groups where appropriate

With the growth of the number of players in Wales it is essential there is an open door policy to those coming through. Therefore we have introduced some ranking milestone guarantees.
